How do I use a whole chicken?

We've all been there. "What in the world do I do with a whole chicken?"

A little over a year ago, Joshua & I were in the same spot. Whole chicken? You mean it doesn't come in just breasts & wings? It's also the #1 hesitation for people when considering Renovo Farms’ chicken. Let's remedy that.

We combine both videos to end up with boneless breast, thighs & wings. Whole carcass used for stock (recipe below).

We use this technique weekly. Thaw three chickens at a time, & part up for a week of delicious grilled, roasted, baked, & fried chicken.

Chicken Stock Recipe

Do NOT throw away that carcass! Chicken stock is extraordinarily healthy for you (that's why we eat chicken noodle soup when we're sick. It used to be made with real chicken, not chicken flavored granules.)

Recipe: have fun and make your own!
1 chicken carcass
1 quartered onion
3 stalks celery
3 chopped large carrots
6 cloves garlic
Fresh or dried parsley, sage, rosemary, thyme (if dried, 1 tsp to 1 tbsp)
1-2 glugs apple cider vinegar
Salt and pepper

Place all ingredients in crock pot (overnight up to 36 hours) or stovetop on low (4+ hours). Cover ingredients with water. Strain when finished!
